Flash Plugin for WordPress in the Works

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

I’m currently working on a project with Flash and WordPress. It ought to be fairly interesting and I do not believe has been done before (at least according to a quick Google search). I will be posting some videos of it in the coming weeks.

For now I shall keep it vague…stay tuned!

Google Reader 2 Year Birthday

Monday, October 8th, 2007

Yesterday Google Reader turned 2 years old. Also, 3 weeks ago it emerged from Beta. I finally took some time today to look over this application and took an immediate liking to it. I’m a chronic RSSer. I add new ones all the times and I constantly check them due to using a desktop feed and email aggregator. So I decided to take this opportunity to switch over to Google Reader (which in itself took about 30 minutes of copying feeds over (there is import functionality but in my haste I did not notice it until later).

I would recommend Reader to anyone who just needs to get their fill of their feeds. Especially if you waste time checking too frequently. It helps to have an extra step between you and that aggregator (before it was only the email button on my keyboard).

Reader also helps for those that live with a high mobility factor. You can always check your feeds and add to them anywhere. It saves time and especially if you already have a Gmail account keeps everything in one highly mobile location. You can also access Reader from your mobile phone. There goes that phone bill…

XNA Blog Relocation

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

I have previously had an XNA-related blog that I posted on occasionally. I’ve decided it will be far too difficult to keep track of two different blog, so if you’re reading this because you were directed here from that blog you may wish to update your bookmarks.

You will also be able to browse XNA-specific posts.

Feeds Changed and Social Bookmarking Added

Sunday, October 7th, 2007

This morning I’ve changed the RSS feeds for posts and comments over to FeedBurner. If you’ve previously subscribed to the on-site RSS feeds you can still continue to do so, however, it would be much appreciated if you switched so I can keep better track of traffic in terms of RSS feeds.

I’ve also added quick links that  show up on each post for: del.icio.us, Reddit, Slashdot, Digg, Technorati, Google, StumbleUpon, Windows Live, Yahoo, Ask, and Bookmark.it.

Enjoy.
